We are in the time of discernment and balance. This collective experience illustrates the importance of wisdom and discernment.
Love is not enough because there are a lot of kindly spiritual people who don’t see deception. Who hear no evil, see no evil and speak no evil. Who don’t want to see how bad things are. That doesn’t mean things are only bad.
People attacked me and said “don’t focus on the negative”. I think proper focus needs to be given on what’s important. The human negativity and deception in this time of tyranny everywhere in the world, where what is happening looks like severe encroachment of the freedom and well being of the individual globally in what seems to be tribulation end times.
It is important to stay in balance or return to balance. We can’t always be in balance but we can seek balance and love is not enough because love is not of discerning, it’s non-control, unconditionally accepting. One should not unconditionally accept all that is uncritically. There are certain things that we can change and we should make some effort to change if we want. There are certain things we cannot change and we should know that we cannot change them. There are certain times we should meet people with heartful acceptance and there are other times we need to meet people with wisdom, truth, honest presentation and honest speaking. Leading with love or leading with wisdom, that takes discernment to know which to lead with in service or in helping or in any situation. Sometimes I should speak and sometimes I should be quiet. First I lead with love and then I lead with wisdom, first I am quiet then I have to say something because wisdom reveals what I must do.
I don’t know if it’s helpful for you but it’s certainly not helpful for me to be accepting uncritically. While love is essential, we are not going to make it through this end times period without discernment and that’s where I see a lot of spiritually minded people falling, which is they don’t want to accept or consider bitter, ugly, painful truths. What they feel is bitter, ugly and unpleasant which may be that being avoided equals a certain handicap and liability that the person who is willfully remaining love over wisdom or non-discerning will live with and will be a drag in this time of the end. The truth will set you free. There is a certain freedom from confusion when we find the truth of anything, particularly what’s important. Important truths should be known. Knowing important truths or important matters truly frees us from confusion. It frees us from the distress of confusion. It frees us from making bad mistakes or mistakes based on misunderstanding from confusion, from not knowing truth. And there is a certain capacity of even greater acceptance and love after one discerns an important truth. The point is not to stay stuck in clearly knowing evil and negativity. The point is to go back and and forth between love and wisdom by heartful desire for honesty where we make the effort to discern and know what we find by our discernment. We then accept and recognize whether we can or can’t change it and consider why it is. The value of bringing the purpose and goal of this 3rd density cycle which is to learn the ways of love, of unconditional acceptance and harmlessness and not to be controlling and honesty. And yet honesty is only as good as one’s commitment to discernment.
Discernment is the skill or practice of trying to tell truth from falsehood. If someone lacks discernment, or worse, they are unaware of the whole issue of the need for discernment, then when they receive information via the news or via personalities that they listen to, they will be unable to tell when misinformation/disinformation has slipped through into their feed, and they will likely accept that false information as true. Then, when they are communicating with others, they may desire to be honest and make every effort to be honest, but they will still pass along false information because they have accepted something false as being true. In other words, an individual may be an honest person in the sense that they would never intentionally deceive for personal gain, but they could still be an unreliable source of the truth, due to their lack of commitment to discernment.
We use the word “negativity” instead of “evil” in order to avoid being judgmental or love-biased. The concepts negative and positive are just neutral descriptions of the direction of flow of energy. Positive beings radiate energy, negative beings absorb it. You could think of how your own balance of love changes in the presence of a being—in the presence of a positive being it increases, in the presence of a negative being it decreases. Over time, any word can acquire the connotations of our own attachments. That’s why euphemisms have to be replaced regularly.
The oneness fallacy is something that Eric Antokoletz and I discuss a lot and have thought about and eventually plan to say something about either in a blog or a video.
For now I’ll just say it’s probably exactly what you think it is – another way to bypass the experience of encountering one’s own energy blockages. This confused idea that all is one so we should just accept it all, whereas there are actually two paths to Source and they look very different in practice. One example of the oneness fallacy might be that when we encounter something that challenges us to accept something we need to integrate, we instead bypass the process of integration and instead just say to ourselves things that keep the energy from flowing ie: “we all have positive and negative within us, or we are all both dark and light” in order to avoid acknowledging the true experience and integrating our feelings about it thus keeping us from polarizing and stuck in confusion. I think it’s a topic worth discussing at length. In my view there is a reason why the memory of our unity consciousness experience faded over time. We (most of us) are not meant to just bliss out all the time by living in a higher dimension of awareness. The purpose of being here is not to escape from being here, why would we come here if it was only to try to escape? We are here to do or learn something that can only be done or learned here, through being present here in 3D. The bliss of unity can heal us and inspire us, and it is also “the goal” in ultimate sense, much like getting home after a long journey is “the goal” of the journey. But you can’t overcome the obstacles on the road by trying to be at home right away! That wouldn’t make any sense and would just make it harder to get through our difficulties. Trying to apply oneness to everything in 3D all the time is problematic in exactly the same way. It is ungrounding and can even be addictive since it enables us to avoid feeling the pain of the moment. We will eventually feel the pain one way or another though, if we have chosen it.
